Special price while supplies last

Guide to the Alaska Highway

Author Ron Dalby has obtained nearly 500 copies of his book, Guide to the Alaska Highway, at a price that allows him to heavily discount the book. Instead of the normal $21.95 purchase price plus $5 for Priority Mail shipping, Ron can now offer purchasers an autographed copy for $20, a price that includes Priority Mail shipping, 2-3 days, to anywhere in the United States. Contact Ron at rdcomm@gci.net for details. All books sold will include a 2009 update sheet.

You'll have to act fast, though. Ron is selling the books directly at his Alaska Highway seminars for $15, and at these prices, the supply will not last long.

2009 Update

Guide to the Alaska Highway

The high gas prices in 2008 and the subsequent decline in Alaska Highway travel created a lot of changes along the road as business went under or were sold to new owners. This one-page update contains all of these changes that I could document in two trips on the Alaska Highway in 2008.

If you have already purchased a copy of the book, e-mail Ron Dalby at rdcomm@gci.net, and I will forward a copy to you for free. Those purchasing the book at this time will have the corrections page tucked inside the front cover.

Due for release in April 2008...

The latest version of Ron's best-selling book, originally published as The Alaska Highway: An Insider's Guide will be released in mid-April by Menasha Ridge Press. This book will take you from anywhere in the contiguous 48 states and Canada to Alaska, through Alaska and back home again.

Born in Alaska, Ron has lived there almost all his adult life, he has driven the Alaska Highway 35 times, and this book, with hundreds of pictures in full color, offers up this lifetime of experience. The best views, the best fishing, the cheapest gas, tales from earlier trips and so much more are all covered in a light, easy-to-read style. This book is as much fun to read from the comfort of your easy chair as it is handy to use along on the road.

When it reaches bookstores, the suggested retail price will be $21.95. If you want an inscribed copy from the author as soon as it's released, contact Ron at rdcomm@gci.net or call 907-232-0521.
